Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Anchorage

Arrive at Anchorage Airport, meet the group, pick up vehicles, and drive to the Kenai Peninsula. Riverside cabin check-in and relaxed first night.

Day 2 — Kenai River Fishing

Spend the day fishing around the Kenai and Soldotna area with scenic public-access fishing spots along the Kenai River, including beginner-friendly locations depending on conditions and fishing activity.

Day 3 — Cooper Landing & Russian River

Explore the Cooper Landing and Russian River area, known for its mountain scenery, turquoise water, wildlife opportunities, and immersive Alaska fishing experience.

Day 4 — Homer Halibut Charter

Drive to Homer for the full-day halibut charter, the main guided fishing experience of the trip, before exploring the town and returning to the cabins.

Day 5 — Kenai Peninsula Fishing & Scenic Stops

Continue exploring fishing spots around the Kenai Peninsula depending on conditions, combining fishing, scenic viewpoints, wildlife opportunities, and relaxed group activities.

Day 6 — Flexible Adventure Day

Use the final full day to revisit the group’s favourite fishing location from the trip, explore another area around the Kenai Peninsula, or enjoy more of Alaska’s scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Day 7 — Return to Anchorage

Check out of the cabins and drive back to Anchorage on one of the most scenic drives on Earth

Recommended Fishing Gear & What To Bring

Chest waders or waterproof wading pants (strongly recommended for some fishing locations)

Waterproof rain jacket and outdoor layers suitable for changing Alaska weather

Warm clothing including hoodies, thermals, beanies, and gloves

Comfortable waterproof shoes or boots

Fishing rod and reel suitable for salmon and trout fishing

Tackle, lures, hooks, weights, and other personal fishing gear

Long-handled landing net (recommended for river fishing spots)

Polarised sunglasses

Waterproof backpack or dry bag

Small tackle box or fishing gear bag

Reusable water bottle

Casual clothing for cabin nights and downtime

Camera, GoPro, or content gear if desired

Guests planning to fly fish are strongly recommended to bring a 8wt fly rod or heavier. Alaska salmon can be extremely powerful and lighter setups may not be suitable depending on conditions and target species.

Do I need fishing experience?

No. Some spots are beginner-friendly, but this is still an outdoor fishing trip, so guests should be comfortable with variable weather and flexible plans.

Do I need my own gear?

Yes, Fishing gear is not included. Guests can bring their own or arrange rental/purchase locally.
