TRAVELLER CODE OF CONDUCT
Applies to All Aventara Trips

INTRODUCTION
1.1 This Traveller Code of Conduct (“Code”) forms part of your binding legal contract with Aventara Travel Pty Ltd (“Aventara”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
1.2 By booking and/or participating in any Aventara trip, you agree to comply with this Code at all times.
1.3 Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the trip with no refund, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
1.4 This Code exists to:
• Maintain group safety
• Protect other travellers
• Protect Aventara legally
• Ensure respectful and responsible conduct
GENERAL BEHAVIOUR STANDARDS
You must at all times:
• Behave respectfully toward all travellers, staff, and third parties
• Comply with all local laws in each destination
• Follow safety instructions issued by accommodation, transport, and activity providers
• Act responsibly and with common sense
• Secure your own belongings
• Respect shared accommodation and communal spaces
You acknowledge that Aventara does not supervise you, and you alone are responsible for your actions at all times.
ZERO-TOLERANCE CONDUCT (IMMEDIATE REMOVAL)
Any of the following may result in immediate removal with no refund, except where required by Australian Consumer Law:
3.1 Violence & Threats
• Physical assault
• Threatening behaviour
• Intimidation
• Aggression
3.2 Sexual Misconduct
• Non-consensual contact
• Sexual harassment
• Inappropriate advances
• Filming or photographing without consent
3.3 Discrimination & Abuse
• Racism
• Sexism
• Homophobia
• Bullying
• Harassment of any kind
3.4 Criminal Conduct
• Theft
• Property damage
• Vandalism
• Drug possession or distribution
• Any breach of local law
3.5 Dangerous Behaviour
• Reckless intoxication
• Endangering yourself or others
• Disorderly public conduct
3.6 Accommodation Violations
• Breaking hostel/hotel rules
• Disturbance of other guests
• Property damage
Aventara does not intervene with police, courts, immigration, medical providers, or hospitals on your behalf.
ALCOHOL & NIGHTLIFE
You may drink and enjoy nightlife at your own discretion, but you must:
• Remain in control
• Not endanger others
• Not rely on staff for assistance
• Not expect supervision
If your intoxication causes risk, disruption, or harm, Aventara may:
• Issue a warning
• Remove you from activities
• Remove you entirely from the trip with no refund, except where required by Australian Consumer Law
Staff do not break up fights, escort travellers, manage police matters, replace lost items, or provide medical care related to intoxication.
DRUG POLICY
Aventara has zero tolerance for illegal drug possession, use, or distribution.
Any involvement may result in:
• Immediate expulsion
• Permanent ban from future trips
• No refund, except where required by Australian Consumer Law
Aventara will not assist with detainment or prosecution.
ACCOMMODATION & ROOMS
You must:
• Observe quiet hours
• Maintain cleanliness
• Avoid disruptive behaviour
• Not bring unapproved guests
• Follow all venue rules
Room allocations are final unless changed by staff for operational or safety reasons.
GROUP CONDUCT
You must:
• Treat others respectfully
• Avoid hostility or isolation
• Avoid persistent conflict
• Contribute to a safe group environment
Ongoing disruption, harassment, or hostility may result in removal without refund, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
You must:
• Follow all third-party operator safety rules
• Use safety gear when required
• Behave responsibly near water, traffic, heights, cliffs, and transport
• Inform the Facilitator if leaving during scheduled group activities
You acknowledge that all travel and adventure activities involve inherent risk, which you voluntarily accept.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
You alone are responsible for:
• Your belongings
• Your passport and documents
• Your punctuality
• Your transport attendance
• Your own navigation during free time
Aventara does not:
• Replace lost items
• Fix passport issues
• Pay fines
• Escort travellers
• Provide medical treatment
• Monitor your movements
STAFF & FACILITATOR ROLE
Aventara Facilitators:
• Are not tour guides
• Are not supervisors
• Are not guardians
• Are not responsible for your safety
• Are not obligated to accompany anyone
• Are not emergency responders
They may coordinate logistics and meeting points only.
Any abuse, threats, or unreasonable expectations toward staff may result in immediate removal without refund, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
ITINERARY, TIMING & TRANSPORT
You must:
• Arrive on time
• Attend meeting points
• Not delay the group
If you miss any transport:
• It is your responsibility to catch up
• Aventara will not reimburse
• The itinerary will not be altered for you
SOCIAL MEDIA & MEDIA USE
By joining an Aventara trip:
• You consent to group photos and videos
• You permit Aventara to use these for marketing
• You understand removal after publication may not be feasible
WARNINGS & REMOVAL AUTHORITY
Aventara may remove you without refund, except where required by Australian Consumer Law, if:
• You breach this Code
• You create safety concerns
• You break the law
• You disrupt group function
• You repeatedly ignore instructions
Removal may be:
• Immediate
• Without warning
• Without refund, except where required by Australian Consumer Law
• At Aventara’s sole discretion
LEGAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By booking, you confirm that:
• You have read and understood this Code
• Compliance is mandatory
• Breach may result in removal
• You are responsible for your own conduct and choices
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW NOTICE
Nothing in this Code excludes any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law which cannot be lawfully excluded.

This Code is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
